Lantern Festival 2007

Posted: September 22, 2007 in Family Time

Pesta Tanglung 2007 at Bukit Bintang.

Ama and the Kids got to Sungei Wang at around 7pm. There was a ‘Giant’ Mooncake on display there.

Ama promptly queued up for ‘free’ lanterns being given away (a whopping 15,000 were made available) – spent 20 minutes there!

And then we waited for the Star Hill Lantern Festival 2007 Procession to start.

It began around 7:50pm, from KL Plaza. It proceeded past Lot 10, BB Plaza, Jalan Alor, Federal Hotel before coming back to Sungei Wang main entrance.

It took nearly an hour due to the procession making stops to make performances.

It was led by the Dragon Dance (chasing after the mythical Dragon Pearl), a Lion Dance, a ‘Pancaragam’ band, as well as Indian and Malay bands in traditional grab – all of which made performances.

The public taking part (including the Family) followed with lanterns. The Kids were super happy.

May: Ama, my legs are killing me (ie painful)

Ama: So, you want to go home?

May: Of course not!

The Kids also got their miffs on ‘fake’ hands with lights which ‘claps’, used for a concerts by fans – and ran around waving them and giving each other (and anyone else who bothered) high ‘5’s.

When they got back, they immediately rummaged got their mini Lion (Dance) head and started their own performance.

NB: Aba was a t a friend’s house, where they were having a pre-wedding kenduri (Chinese style) with loads of relatives and friends.

I know at area or near the town somewhere in KK Sabah, the tanglung festival is happening… but at our situation now, no way we able to do that. The Twins as usual still small.. how to go out night time.

I love to see kids having fun. I noticed yours definitely into this. 🙂
BTW, is the stroller joined together? Is that for twins? I can’t find one here. So frustrating. 😦

papajoneh, ya lor~ it’s always ‘people mountain people sea’. Better stay at home than go out at their age. Btw, got the twin-stroller from Toy ‘r’ Us… worth about RM450+-… Aba spent all his credit card point to get it ‘free of charge’ @@

eveのmum, dun get confused, May is not as ‘free’ as you think. 😛

jacss, well… i can only say they are already used to it
