Piano Kids

Posted: July 25, 2011 in Family Time

May has started her piano lessons!

Aba bought a digital piano so that practice won’t disturb the neighbours.

After the first lesson, May came back and taught the brothers too!

Aba ended up playing with the new piano the most =.=!

So the Family was invited to the new Disney Junior Channel (available on Astro) for their launch.

Arrived early (before 9am) for registration at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian And Country Resort. They had cordoned off a whole horse-riding field for the planned activities.

Ama’s net friends and families also showed up.

The Kids went through 4 sections.

Happy Birthday to My Twins

Posted: June 6, 2011 in Family Time

It’s the Twins’ Birthday!

Aba took the Kids to KLCC to get presents, but when they got there, they found out that Toys-R-Us have closed down ! (?)

So it was to Isetan!

The Kids immediately zoomed in on the Ben 10 watches. Even May get one.

Sarn got the ‘Ultimate’ edition, and both Twins had an extra Ben 10 alien action figure to go with their watches.

Rushed back after Aba bought stuff for the office, where Ama was waiting.

Went to dinner at steamboat place.

Kids had fun!

Sports Day

Posted: May 16, 2011 in Family Time

Wake up early to get there in time. Still, a lot of people were already there by the time the Family got to Stadium Bola Sepak Tun Razak.

The event started at 7:45am with the Principles welcoming speech and the school band playing.

KC Kindy, Primary and Secondary Schools were all having their Sports Day together, May did not participate in events as only Primary 4+ were allowed at her school..

Jern Sarn had a picking up badminton shuttlecock race.

So the family moved to the opposite of the Stadium to watch them (Primary and Secondary were at the main entrance).

The Twins didn’t win which upset Jern terribly. He blamed his team members and had a little tantrum – bad!

Aba then had a parents relay event and managed not to finish last! (was in fact contention for prize but the team members after weren’t ‘athletic’)

Finished by 10:30 and went for Ampang Fishball Noodles.

May’s Birthday 2011

Posted: January 30, 2011 in Family Time

Had a simple celebration at home with cake and song for May’s birthday.

Took the Kids to Isetan KLCC to pick up May’s Birthday present on the following Sunday.

May chose a ‘3 in1 Creator’ series Lego set.

The Twins also got themselves a Lego Bionicle each, and some toy dinosaurs.

Had a hearty lunch at Chillis’.

Then rushed back so that the Kids could play with their Lego!

Aba helped May to complete the 1st build for May’s Lego set – a convertible car!

Can open the hood to peek at the engine!

Can open doors!

Can adjust seats, back mirrors, side mirrors, steering wheels, gears etc…. !

Can convert to open top / closed hatch!

School Holiday @ Melaka

Posted: September 13, 2010 in Family Time

These School Holidays were coming to an end, so the Family had a trip to Melaka for the Kids.

Woke up early and drove to Melaka before 9am.

Had breakfast halfway at the Jejantas rest stop where Aba and Ama had nasi lemak with STALE eggs (didn’t eat them).

Drove on and goo off the Highway at Ayer Keroh.

Reached Taman Buaya around 10:20am.

Kids saw live crocodiles of all sorts and even attended a live show with a snake and crocodile (scary!)

Kids also rode the ‘Jurassic Park’ train ride with mechanical dinosaurs jumping out to scare passengers (Twins frightened!)

For lunch, the Family drove into Melaka city and had their famous Chicken Rice Balls at ‘Famosa Restaurant’.

Adjourned next (on foot) to Tan Kim Hock to buy preserved snacks like Pineapple Pie, Dried Mango & Pineapple, dodal…

Parked the car at a legal parking space (even bought and used parking coupons, which were required even on weekends and public holidays) and witnessed many cars getting tickets from hardworking cops!

Walked about the Dutch red buildings and went for a river boat ride farther on.

The Melaka government spent quite a bit to spruce up the view for tourism, and even had pump stations installed to control water levels and filter dirt.

Bought Cowboy hats for the whole family (at high prices!) for a little shade from the sun.

Walked around and went up to St Pauls Church (helped give directions to a Japanese couple too 🙂 ).

Also checked out a reconstructed cannon platform from the Portuguese and Ducth era.

Then had a long walk along Jonker Street.

Bought wooden ‘pirate’ guns for the Kids and also lego toys from the shops.

Ama also bought ‘special’ chopsticks (at high prices again!)

Finally, for dinner, the Family had Satay Celup at McQuek’s.

Cheap and tasty!

Kids enjoy!
